The Long Lake Environment will keep you in close touch with nature.
Long Lake is the longest lake in the Adirondack State Park and has 14 miles of excellent fishing.
On any given day you may catch large and small mouth bass, Great Northern Pike, sunfish, perch and/or bullheads. Neighboring streams will provide a trout experience.

In addition, there are several local hiking trails, picnic areas at nearby Buttermilk Falls, an occasional boat cruise of the lake, and Helms Aero Service which offers charter air service for sightseeing, fishing, hunting or cargo.

 

 

Town is three miles from Camp Hilary and offers gift shops, ice cream stands, tennis and basketball courts, a Laundromat, stores, marina, restaurants, and many town sponsored activities.
